Key Qualifications

Mr Tang’s legal practice covers both contentious work and non-contentious work.

His contentious work involves both litigation and arbitration. He has handled commercial disputes regarding rival shareholders, intellectual property, insurance, trust and applications under the Companies Ordinance; civil disputes regarding land titles, tenancies, defamation, personal injuries claims, family cases, wills and estate distribution; and  enforcement proceedings for enforcing local and foreign judgments and arbitral awards, applications for injunctions, charging order, garnishee order, bankruptcy and winding-up orders.

Mr Tang’s non-contentious work covers  registration of intellectual property rights;  drafting and reviewing commercial agreements for share transfer, business projects, agency, escrow arrangements, indemnity, guarantees, and licencing of intellectual property rights;  preparing and reviewing pre-nuptial and separation agreements and agreements for dispute resolution; and applying for letters of administration and grant of probate.

  • Master of Laws, University of London, University College London, England 2000
    (in insurance law and intellectual property law)
  • Solicitor of the High Court of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (since 2002)
  • Member of The Law Society of Hong Kong (since 2002)
  • Solicitor at the panel of the Legal Aid Department (in Civil Litigation only)
